Strangulation has been identified as one of the most lethal forms of domestic violence. Unconsciousness may occur within seconds and death within minutes. After one strangulation event, victims are 750% more likely to be murdered by their abuser

 

 

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Gael Strack and Dr. Bill Smock, international experts from the Training Institute on Strangulation Prevention, will share their collective expertise in the effective handling of non-fatal strangulation and suffocation assault in intimate partner violence and sexual assault cases
